1991 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport from North America - Comments

"Great reliable car with great American looks. I will never buy a Japanese pile of you know what"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I have owned this car for about 6 months so far and it has run like a dream.

All I have done to it is change the oil and alternator. However, make sure that you keep up on the transmission fluid. If you don't the car will shift from first to second, and then back to first then second when you really get on the gas.

Also, it is supposed to get around 18 mpg, and I think it only gets about 13 or so.

General comments?

I bought the car for $3200 and it was well worth it. I only wish it had a 305 or a 350 in it.

I recently went to High School Drags and it ran a 17.589 at 78 mph with a reaction time of .381.

The only modifications it has are a K&N air filter, Flowmaster cat-back exhaust system, and 18 inch chrome wheels. Flowmasters will fix up anything.

The car sounds like a V-8 and I never get tired of driving with the stereo off. Keep in mind that I have two 10 inch subs.

I'm sure this will be a car I will remember my whole life.

The reviewer brought a V6 Camaro to a drag race?

My cousin had a 1991 V6 Camaro, she had one with the t-tops.

It got pretty good mileage, 19 mpg. She used it to get to and from work. It didn't have much power, then again, if she wanted a car for power, she would have purchased a Z28.

Do you people know that "Japanese" cars are built in the USA?

Most Honda's, Nissan's, Mazda's are made in American plants.

Haha that is funny. Camaro v6=125 HP. 0-60 mph in 13 seconds.

Wow, that is a full 4 seconds slower than a Sunfire.

Many Japanese vehicles are built in the USA, but the profit goes to company headquarters in Japan.

Sorry, that just isn't true. Unless you have a very liberal definition of "most" or throw in a bunch of qualifiers. You would be hard pressed to say that even "many" Japanese cars are built in US plants.

Yes evidently numerous Japanese cars are built in the USA and thousands of jobs are created and thousands of people are employed. So before you start knocking "Japanese" cars, think twice as your fellow citizens are being provided with employment and a means of bringing home the bacon.

I took the car to high school drags; give me a break I am 17 and bought this car with the money I earned. I chose not to race my dad's Ford Lightning because I was under the impression that everybody there would have raced their own car, not mommy and daddy's.

The 3.1 has more than 125 HP I have one in my 92 camaro with 200k on it and it still runs like new. I recently took it on a 1500 mile trip and got 30 mpg with the AC on. It is not the most powerful engine.. but to whoever made the comment about the sunfire being faster.. get your facts straight!!! My sister had a 96 sunfire and my camaro would blow its doors off.

Try blowing the doors off a Sunfire GT with your 6 cylinder Camaro!!!
