1992 Chevrolet Cavalier VL review from North America
"Reliable car and well worth the money, never breaks down!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The alternator went bad at 155,000 miles.
The head gasket blew at 123,000 miles.
The battery went bad at 95,000 miles.
The water pump went bad at 145,000 miles.
The serpentine belt needed changed at 85,000 miles.
Brakes needed changed several times in the car's history, including the rotors.
The cooling fan went bad at 145,000 miles.
The windshield wiper motor went bad at 150,000 miles, when the car was 8 years old.
The upper radiator hose sprung a leak in it (and needed changed) at 120,000 miles.
And that's it. All of these happened one time each in the car's history, and never needed assistance again.
General comments?
The 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier has served me very well, and has been the most reliable car I've ever owned!
It has had only small problems occur with it. 1 big problem did occur, and that was when the head gasket blew.
Other than that, the car has been inexpensive to own and it has gotten me to where I want to go, and without any worries.
Good engine under the hood, as well as good power. The car is 10 years old now and has never broke down on me.
188,000 miles are currently on it and it's still reliable!
