The car was fine for the first 6 months, but then it developed an intermittent engine cut out, which I think may have been due to faulty wiring. Due to the car failing more and more, I had to sell it and buy a more reliable car.
Despite my car's obvious electrical faults, it was a very special little car to drive/own, and I still have a fond feeling when I think about it.
The car handled like a little kart. Due to it weighing very little, it seemed to corner very well and the little 1.4 engine was more than powerful enough to take it to 60mph in a very respectible time of around 8.3 seconds.
I had a full stainless exhaust and induction kit on the car, and it sounded awesome. The throttle response was improved massively and power also was noticeable improved.
The body work on my car was absolutely mint and rust free, even after 10 years.
I would get an AX GT injection again, but would always wonder if I would get to my destination on time, due to the unreliable nature of my previous car.
Shame to get rid of something dear to you that could have been remedied quite easily...
