The relay switch for the air condition went out 4 times. The last time it was re-wired straight to the fuse box.
The wire for the fuel pump shorted out and the fuel pump had to be replaced and the wire had to be re-wired. This was extremely costly.
The last thing to happen was the timing belt broke and now the valves are damaged as well as the head.
This process is extremely expensive and another problem is the parts are in short supply.
The leather seats have started to fray and this is done while using armor-all.
My car has been broke for 3 months and I'm still paying a note.
I do not know all of the details of how your AC relay was bypassed, but I really cannot imagine how they could have safely done it. Again, I did not see the job, but you could have a HUGE fire hazard on your hands. You might be sending a very high current load through your AC on/off switch, which was not designed to handle it.
I am an electrical engineer. I think you should be very careful with this, and have it investigated further by somebody who truly knows about electricity. I am not taking anything away from mechanics, but unfortunately a lot of them really do not know what they are doing when it comes to electrical issues. I would not run the AC until you get this checked out.
Using Armor All will add to the deterioration of leather & vinyl - not prolong it. It makes the material look better, but it leads to premature breakdown of the material.
You'll probably never get anyone at Armor All to agree with this, so talk to a chemist :)
