Diagnostic Computer Replaced about 50,000 miles.
Driver Side front and back window motor broken. Replaced front motor only
Transmission and Radiator fluid changes because of faulty plugs, washers, and/or seals.
Small, annoying electrical problems. Lights flickering, moisture in headlights, window motors.
And I thought I was having problems. I didn't read anyone else having to replace the main computer. Did you know that in Dodge/Chrysler's infinite wisdom they decided to move the computer from the climate controlled inside to the outside under the hood with the engine? Computers aren't sensitive to environmental and temperature changes are they? They're idiots. That alone was $600. I've had two window motors break on me. Dealership said that's to be expected on the driver's side because of the high amount of usage. I bought that explanation and replaced motor myself. A month later the back passenger window motor broke. Usage explanation doesn't apply here because I doubt it was used more than 10 - 20 times.
I've had a lot of the other minor nuisances that a lot of you have had. Flickering lights, windshield wipers acting funny, etc. The sludge comments are scaring me now because I just had the check-engine light come on a couple days ago. I'm taking to a mechanic Monday, but the check-engine light is off now... I don't know what that means. Everything's OK now?
I'm not buying another Dodge.
If anyones check engine light comes on, and you or the dealership is not sure why, most likely it's the leak detection pump. Save time and money and get this fixed soon. Good luck dodge owners!
