I love my Aspire. It's attractive, reliable, fun & easy to drive, comfortable (for a compact car), and inexpensive to own.
With gas prices as high as they have been it only costs me around $11 or $12 to fill up the 10 gallon tank on my Aspire with 93 octane gasoline.
I would recommend this car for anyone who enjoys small cars and wouldn't mind saving some cash.
You don't need to put 93 octane. I own an Aspire. they take 87. double check owner's manual if you don't believe, but the higher octane can damage the cylinders.
What a time capsule. Today, that same Aspire would cost $33 to fill up on regular (gas is $3.30/gallon around here). Can't fathom why these SUV owners simply turn over their paychecks to the gas attendant.
Still a great car, but not as fun to drive as the Festiva it replaced.
Higher octane will not hurt the clyinder's, it will hurt your wallet. Higher octane just prevents early detination. And it will not give you better gas mileage or performance in fact less performance, if you had a car that has higher comprssion like 10.5+ then I would recommend running higher octane. I love my ford aspire, and never want to get anything else. Its comfortable, ride's good, just lacks power, but I still can beat a lot of cars of the line.
