Replaced Radiator myself - 120$

That's it.

I just sold this car a few weeks ago, and I miss it so much. In my opinion it is the best looking accord in the 1990-2001 range.

It was extremely reliable, only maintenance that had to be done was brake change & oil changes.

The car isn't very fast, but it isn't very slow. With the manual transmission it was fun, and it had zip where I needed it.

The seats how ever only become uncomfortable during long trips.

Daytime running lights control module is known to be defective. This is due to a bad cold solder and can be corrected simply by opening the DRL module and re-soldering the connections on the integrated circuits. I have recently learned that they have started doing this at some of the Honda service centers.

I love this car. No rust to speak of. Have done regular maintenance almost by the book. engine/transmission seems to get a little noisy at around 2000 RPM.

Although I wouldn't consider myself a fanatic, any and all maintenance work I do on schedule as much as possible whether it's needed or not. I change the oil every 3 months whether it's needed or not.

Rust proofed every 18 months.

I have also found that adding 30ml of 100% acetone to every 15 litres of regular unleaded makes this baby purr. I also get about 50km per tank adding it. Supposedly doesn't work as well if there's too much alcohol in the gasoline mix.

I'm going to keep this car forever.

Usual wear and tear items - nothing unusual here. Unresolved brake disc warpage problems since new.

Engine is smooth, but with very average power and fuel economy.

It is a reliable car with decent build quality. Quality of interior trim material is not bad either.

Acceptable handling. Good ride quality. Refined cruiser. Overly light steering.

Spacious.

A bit boring.

Muffler has a crack in it. Very loud!

Seal is missing from door when purchased. 25 bucks to replace.

Very clean car; just purchased from a car dealer and boy are these things popular. I was first in line of about 100 people to look at this car and bought it cause it was in near mint condition.

2.2 liter is very reliable. My other Accord with the same engine has 232,000 miles and I can get over 35 MPG with no AC running and cruise on.

Supposedly this car is painted a rare color that only 5,000 97 Accords got painted.

AC doesn't keep a charge, but I think it is just being an old car.

Nothing else, but general maintenance!

Honda has been the best car I have ever owned!

I am looking forward to purchasing a 2006 Coupe 2dr in the near future.

The climate air conditioning had electrical problems with the fuse. When you turned the air conditioning on, it would blow out hot air. Also the unit had to be gassed as one of the solutions (not a biggy) Only cost $160 NZD to get fixed.

Also there is an electrical problem in the car with the locks; for some reason the car can't automatically lock itself when it's suppose to.

Although the car has had a few minor problems, it is still a fantastic car. It drives along the road beautifully, and the VTEC engine gives it great power on kickdown and high revs.

The car is reasonably economical; we get between 500-550 kms out of a tank, depending on how we drive it.

The leather interior is also a great feature, and so is the cruise control.
