1994 Honda Civic DX Sedan D1.5 SOHC non vtec from North America

Summary:

Buy it if you can, but don't spend more than 2,000. These cars are plentiful and reliable

Faults:

The paint seems to fade rather quickly for a 13 year old car.

Windows don't seal particularly well, there is a lot of whistling occurring at high speeds (75+).

Head lights are extremely dim while on low beams.

The glove box handle broke within a week of my purchasing the vehicle.

General Comments:

The car has a lot of get up and go, but it is very noticeable on gas. I can spend twice the amount on gas driving to work aggressively as if I would mildly.

I would highly recommend this car for commuters!

First gear is ungodly short, if you plan to drive mildly, you will need to up shift by 15 at the most, or aggressively by 25.

The drivers seat has tons of room!!! I myself am 6'4" and it is more than sufficient.

I don't necessarily like the DX model; manual windows and locks can be a pain.

The trunk hardly opens, giving you about a foot and a half of space; However, the compartment itself is rather spacious.

The climate control is absolutely amazing!!! I've never had A/C this cold, or a heater this warm...

1994 Honda Civic EX 1.6 vtec from North America

Summary:

Best money I have ever spent

Faults:

Nothing is wrong with the Honda! It's a great car. Like I said, it has 200,000 miles on it and runs like new.

General Comments:

Love it. If you are looking for a 1994 Civic, make sure if the previous owner has any records on car maintenance in the past. But, they are amazing cars. Honda reliability is 100 percent right.

1994 Honda Civic LX 4 cylinder from North America

Summary:

One hell of a good car

Faults:

The alternator went bad at 239000.

Had to buy a new heater core.

No air conditioner.

Had to buy new water pump and timing belt.

General Comments:

This has to be the best car I've ever owned. It's the most reliable car I think I've ever driven or ridden in.

The heater core was VERY difficult to put in. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most difficult, definitely a 9, and had to buy new water pump because of weak antifreeze; it made it form a chunk of ice in the water pump and just tore it up..

The dash dimmer switch has a short in it.. and the heat guard for the catalytic converter rusted off, and I have a rust spot above the rear left tire, and a slight leak in the trunk, but other than those few minor problems, it's great car for 241000 miles. I'd say it has another 100000 miles to go, if not more.

1994 Honda Civic EX 1.6L VTEC from North America

Summary:

Buy this before thinking Audi, Mercedes, or even BMW! You will be happy with it!

Faults:

This car has been amazing!

The Honda Civic should be your next car!!!

I have not been changing the oil on time but it still runs like a champ. I have drag raced it a few times and nothing has gone wrong, other than the normal Honda rust around the wheel wells, and a clutch master cylinder that needs to be replaced.

I would recommend this car to everyone because it gets amazing gas mileage, has almost no operating cost, and it is really sporty.

I have driven, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, and they are all nice, but my Civic drives nicer than most of them, and still has enough power options to be comfortable.

The only thing that I would say is to get a security system if you buy one of these cars.

"I have driven, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, and they are all nice, but my Civic drives nicer than most of em,... " and you "drag race" it to boot!

That must be one heck of a '94 Honda. Are we supposed to take this review seriously?

1994 Honda Civic LX 1.5L from North America

Summary:

Fun to drive, reliable, isn't that the point?

Faults:

Radiator went around 117500 miles.

The lights on the heat/ac controls went out.

The muffler rusted off.

General Comments:

This car is a bullet on wheels, it can take a serious beating and still deliver. I got the car, and a few hundred miles after, while going slightly too fast on a dirt road, I went off the road, plowing over 2 wood fence poles and catching a bit of air. Amazingly the front bumper was still in one piece and only pushed out the corners on the sides of the car, which is easily fixed with 2 screws. After getting a tow out, I drove around and realized that everything was great still.

Radiator went and the heat gauge got well past the H before I got home (close enough and it was 2am so). Had to go buy a new one and hope that nothing was wrong, cause it got real real hot. So we slide in a new radiator, hook it up and it works fantastic still. It runs just as good as it did the day I got it.

Muffler rusted out on the pipe, age related fixed easily should hold till I need a whole new pipe.

Overall this is a fantastic car, no issues that aren't expected of a 14 year old car really. Hopes are to run this through college until I can afford a new car, and there's no reason it can't happen.

It drives fantastic through corners, brakes are pretty good, acceleration is acceptable depending on what you're trying to do; it loves everything but uphill is my rule of thumb.

Great little car though, no complaints other than it requires gas to go, thankfully it's great on that too.
