2006 Honda Civic LX review from North America
"Great car for someone on a budget"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Indicator where the speedometer is indicated a problem with the fuel cap twice. Took it to the dealer, the fuel cap was fine, indicator turned off within two days. Has not happened recently.
General comments?
This car is very good on gas. It has a lot of power for a 1.8. I find it comparable to my 2006 Camry v6 surprisingly. Handling is excellent, very responsive. The brakes are very touchy compared to most cars, but it's not hard to get used to. The dashboard is laid out very well. The standard sound system is decent, but speakers should be replaced if you like your music loud. Overall no major complaints with this car. I have noticed in the last few months of owning this car, it has started to take a little longer to start cold. It'll crank normally and it'll feel like it is trying to catch, but is not getting enough fuel or something. I haven't taken it to the dealer yet, but does anyone have any ideas? Has anyone else experienced this with the new civic? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
