The seats are falling apart.
My engine started leaking oil at approximately 180,000 kilometers.
The oil leaks get progressively worse every day.
The dealership did not know that I had a second catalytic converter, hence creating about 18 hours of blind labor for me.
It's very difficult to fix a problem when the service technicians for your make and model of vehicle are completely inept.
This truck is a nightmare.
Something always seems to go wrong with it, just when you've fixed the previous problem.
My advice, don't fix whatever seems to be wrong with it, and it can't get any worse.
217000 km and its giving trouble, what a lemon eh. Get a daewoo and when it blows up at 30,000, you will appreciate just how tough and dependable these pick ups are. Mine has never had a spanner put to it apart from normal servicing, and its got 300,000km on the clock, still looks good and it gets nothing, but abuse day in and out. In 18 hours, you should have been able to remove every major component, and replace them. What the heck were you trying to do? They are a simple machine, maybe the mechanic was the problem, not the machine.
I recently found a 91 B2200 for sale with 112,000 km plus topper. Asking price was $1000. Offered $800. Deal done.
Color is Robbins Egg Blue. Runs good and gets about 35mpg imperial. Seems quite gutless though.
Body in very good shape except for bumpers, very rusted. Sanded rust off and sprayed them with black boxliner tough stuff.
This one has a carb. Started without being plugged in -31 celsius. Needed to pump the gas pedal lots and lots, but still very impressed.
So far I love my first Mazda and I've owned a lot of vehicles. The only one that beats it was a 1984 Pontiac Acadian (Chevette) with 1.8 liter diesel option. I hate to admit it, but that was probably the best car I've ever had. I never would have bought one except that I noticed the diesel emblem on the back of it as I was walking through the parking lot at work. I left a note under the wiper asking if the car might be for sale. It was. Got it for $1700 canadian. Had 175,000 km. Ran it for 11 yrs and sold it at 394,000km for $250.
Anyway, the B2200 seems to lack power. Compression is between 150-160psi on all 4 cyl. Tried various timing adjustments. Top speed has been 130km/h (80mph) What could be wrong?
