2004 Nissan Maxima SE review from North America
"I consider this car to be a piece of junk"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I purchased my 2004 Nissan Maxima used with 27,000 miles on it.
My ABS light continues to stay on.
General comments?
I took my car to a Nissan dealer and was told that my transmission was going out, but they did not work on transmissions, and the best thing to do was to trade it.
I took my car to AAMCO transmission and was told that I needed a new transmission. It has cost me $3,698.48 to replace my transmission.
I contacted NSHTA to file a complaint. I have also filed a complaint with Nissan at 1-800-Nissan-1 and was told today 11/12/2008 that there was nothing they could do for me, because I took my vehicle to an outside vendor to have my transmission replaced. When I informed the specialist that the car was taken to a Nissan dealer and they weren't willing to do the work on the car, I was told that my car had too many miles to be covered.
I am a previous Nissan owner, this is why I purchased another one.
I have also paid over $1000 to have the ABS system repaired, and guess what, the light is still on.
