My Nissan Maxima's transmission has gone bad. It jerks around the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears. It is currently at Ammco getting fixed. This started happening around 80000 miles.
I went on this website www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov and filed a complaint. I called them and they stated that no investigation has been started, and asked when or how many people need to complain before on gets started... the lady said that it is an issue of safety, and not the number of people that complain. So go to the website and complain, and make sure you mention that it is a matter of safety and that your car could potentially jerk into another car because the transmission is pulling. Still a good car; just needs better warranty.
I got my car back from AMMCO, and so far it has been running great. There wasn't hard part damage, so that was good, but the total cost was over $3000.00 Good thing I had extended warranty on it, and it only cost me 300 dollars. I will keep you posted.
