2003 Peugeot 307 S review from UK and Ireland
"A fat car which winds the driver up!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong yet (that we know about).
General comments?
This car has the worst clutch in the world, the biting point is up near he sun visors and the spring like action is like a jack-in-a-box, If you jump in it from driving any, and I mean any, other car you stall it at as you set off. Plus you stall it at hill starts parking etc. I am a compitent driver and have driven loads of different cars over the years, I can honestly say I haven't stalled a car since my driving lessons! Also, our car is a 3 door and I can't reach the seat belt when it hangs from the B post without a determined reach and twist round, I'll pull my back one day. It only needs a plastic feeder arm like other coupe style cars have.
Performance is naff (1.4) unless you thrash it and the brakes are too keen. If you so much as think of braking, it almost puts you through the winscreen.
The car is nice, but is let down by a very poor drivers experience. I have given mine to the wife and am looking for something else, not another of Peugeot's latest offerings.
