Thus far, the only mechanical problems I've had have been brought about by my own stupidity for drag racing.
The Eagle GT II tires that came with it do not do a great job of gripping the road.
The turning radius could be better.
This is a great car for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money, but still wants some performance and looks that aren't out-dated.
The interior, while not the most appealing to the eye, is comfortable and is very easy for me to keep clean.
This car has a nice little V6 purr to it that I absolutely love!
I have a 92 grand am gt 2 door, it has about 122k miles on it right now, its been pretty reliable these last two years since I bought it. I think it was a very good first car for me, and it is fairly quick, and looks decent (would have looked better with a spoiler but oh well) I recomend this car, and I'm going to be a little sad to see it go, when I sell it.
I have a 1992 Pontiac Grand Am GT, and it has been a very tough car for me. I used to do a paper route, and it lasted through a year of that kind of abuse. The sensors are touchy and very expensive. I have the 3.3L with some work done to the engine, and I can take almost any average car out there.
