Everything from the tilt steering wheel breaking to the engine falling out.
I will never buy a Pontiac again, this car went into the shop once a month for the 2 years that I owned it and it only had 50,xxx miles on it.
I agree, I have 130,000 miles on my grand am and it's been in the shop every month since I've had it. Everything from an alternator to a cracked head to a broken motor mount, this car is garbage.
That is interesting, maybe it's because I have a 1991, but this car has close to 130,000 miles and the biggest thing it needs is a tune-up, and it has been a great car, very reliable. More reliable then my roommate's 1992 Toyota Camery I might add.
I also own a 1992 Pontiac Grand Am. I bought it brand new, and the first couple of years it was great. Since then it is unbelievable the money I have put into it. I have had the heads replaced twice, gone thru 3 batteries, 2 fuel pumps, water pump, computer twice, brakes done twice, overheats, just quits running, boots and wiring done, 4 alternators, two timing chains, and can't even think of what else. Just today (1-22-02) we had the car towed in to the shop again. We don't know whats wrong with it this time. We have put so much money in! I wish a lawyer would read all whats happened to us all and we could sue. Send comments to kotakoon@msn.com.
