Hey, about the locking knobs? I've got the same problem with mine, but I ain't got any new ones yet. You've got to unscrew the inside handle and some of the interior padding, and then you just stick a screwdriver in the top and you will hear it pop and just work your way along, and it will keep popping out of its joints, but you will only have to do a few to get to the locking system and you just push it back up. Hahaha, such a crap system, but I love Fioris.
Does anyone know what the dwell angle is for these?
I know what the points gap is, but I would like to set by dwell instead.
Thanks.
Hey fellow Fiorians.
I Bought a dark blue, 2 door, 5 speed Fiori about eight months ago, and it has proven to be a very economical and surprising package. The four cylinder OHC engine produces plenty of power for its size, and gives great mileage, even with a heavy foot.
I am a certified mechanic and have been able to do a lot of work to this little beast myself. I have re-adjusted the valve clearance to minimise tappet noise and replaced the distributor cap, points, plugs, cleaned the carby and fiddled with the timing to get the greatest power from the stock engine as possible.
I paid only $550 for this little car, and love the reliability it has shown me for the time I have owned it. Unfortunately I will be getting rid of my little scooby as I need a bigger car for family reasons. It will be staying in the family though.
Keep the Fiorian dream alive and post comments for other Fiori owners to read and learn from. Anybody wanting some info about this little car from someone with some mechanical knowledge, don't hesitate to contact me on malcolmfogarty@live.com.au. I also have the original owners manual that has some technical info on the vehicle.
Mal.
I had the same problem with the locker knobs. I just fished it out with a coat hanger bent into a little hook.
There's a bit of noise in the front and rear suspension. Are there any common problem that may be causing this?
Cheers.
