I bought this Camry from the original owner at a good price. Most of its problems were usual for a car this age and have been fixed at mostly reasonable but sometimes high prices. It's amazing how these cars drive so smoothly with 90+ K miles on them. Inside, It's hard to put the car in park when there is a cup in the left cup-holder. Also the dashboard seems designed only for the driver's use... the passenger will find it a bit harder to use the radio and A/C controls. Outside, the paint has held up well but the original wheelcovers are wearing out. overall though I think these '92-'96 Camrys are masterpieces! I love my '95.
I purchased a 1995 camry in 2004. It had 80,000 miles on it when purchased, and I have had no problems with it. I expect that I will be able to get 300,000 miles on it without any major problems. The car is very confidence inspiring. It is very quiet and responsive, and everything in the car still works commendably. I would highly recommend it. All the materials used are top notch, normally expected in a more expensive auto.
I am writing again in regards to the last comment made in december '05. the car now has 128,000 miles on it and I still haven't done anything to the car other than purchase new tires, wiper blades, and had regular oil changes. everything still works perfectly, except for now the power antenna doesn't retract completely, which is common on most vehicles. other than that, the car is still completely sound and I wouldn't hesitate driving it across country.
