Its acceleration isn't the best.
4WD option is great for snow.
Overdrive on and off option is great for gas savings.
I get about 30 MPG still.
Steering is really good.
Oil light flashing at idle is early indication of low oil pressure due to excessive bearing clearance or other internal engine wear, not dirty oil. Unusual for this to happen at such relatively low mileage.
Unfortunately it's not going to get any better without internal engine repairs. You can use a heavier oil or an additive like STP to get better pressure, but as wear continues even that may not eliminate the symptoms.
I have a 1992 corolla dx with 132,000 miles. at first the oil light came on at a dead stop unless I put the car in neutral. now off and on it lights up even at speeds of 80 mph at around 4,500 rpm. could someone let me know if the car has an oil pressure regulator spring or something that may have weakened, versus needing internal engine work, like main and rod bearings?
Try a heavier oil, such as a 15w40 diesel engine oil. Yes, it's safe to use in a gasoline engine. Try that and see if it helps your low oil pressure situation.
