1994 Dodge Intrepid review from North America
"The last Chrysler vehicle I'll ever own"
General comments?
I purchased a used 1994 Dodge Intrepid with 69k on the odometer 18 months ago from a local school teacher. I've put 13K on this vehicle to date.
It appears that Chrysler engineering has not improved over the years. The people that buy Chrysler products must be accustomed to settling for less.
The transmission in this 3.3 Intrepid is garbage (torque convertor shudder and bump shifting).
I can't locate the source of all the rattles and the lack of sound deadener just seem to amplify them.
The air conditioning system that worked well last year must have leaked and needs a service.
The wiper blades (recently replaced) do a poor job contacting the windshield.
The power windows cycle with a jerky motion.
The hydraulic lifters clatter on cold startups and the engine coolant leaks from some unknown location.
I would trade this piece of crap in a minute for the worst GM vehicle I've ever owned and have more reliability.
