1994 Dodge Intrepid ES 3.5L from North America

Summary:

A very poorly engineered vehicle

Faults:

My transmission went bad at 40,000 miles.

My air conditioning went out every year.

The front suspension had continuous problems.

The rear sway bar fasteners broke on the vehicle.

The drivers door seal was replaced multiple times and it did not revive the wind noise issue I had on the vehicle.

General Comments:

The vehicle was unreliable.

The manufacturer did not take responsibility for the defects of the vehicle. The above stated problems existed on a large percentage of these vehicles.

1994 Dodge Intrepid ES 3.5L 24 Valve from North America

Summary:

The car is stylish, fast, and competitive for a 10 years old car.

Faults:

Ball and joint was replaced by dealer at purchase.

A/C was working when I test drove 3 months before, but was out when I bought it. (I noticed when I took my last test drive.)

A/C was supposedly fixed by dealer! I have later got it looked at and it is my compressor and freon.

Air bag light stays on and it was the clock spring.

Check engine light came on and it was the low speed on the cooling fan.

My panel resets every so often while driving. Its only happen two or three times.

General Comments:

The car runs great, it is super fast and it is 10 years old. I stayed up with my friends 1998 mustang. I would definitely buy a dodge product again. In fact I am looking at a 1998 dodge stratus.

1994 Dodge Intrepid ES 3.5 liter V6 from North America

Summary:

Great car initially, but clouded over by excessive problems

Faults:

I replaced the head gasket when I got the car. It ran like a dream after that.

The A/C compressor went out on a cross-country trip. That really stunk. (160,000 miles)

Parking Brake failed an a separate trip. Not a big deal. (164,000 miles)

Digital display on radio went out, radio still works fine.

Spark plug wires wore out (165,000 miles)

General Comments:

I got this car from my Grandfather who didn't take very good care of it.

It had a problem with the air conditioner pretty much from the factory.

This Dodge Intrepid really has a lot of pep in it, even though its 10 years old.

Pretty fast 4-Door sedan.

I have driven this car from Boston to San Fransisco. It did have problems on the trip, like the A/C compressor.

If you don't know how to fix cars, don't buy one of these or its going to cost you quite a bit.

A great car for those who enjoy tinkering with their cars.

Pretty bad gas mileage. 17.4 around town, and 22 on the highway.

This is a car that really runs nice on the highway. It handles well, has great pickup, and doesn't labor in acceleration.

1994 Dodge Intrepid STD 3.3 V6 from North America

Summary:

A nice car for little money

Faults:

I had to replace the tires.

An O2 sensor went up about six months ago at 100,000.

Brake Pads went up.

Nothing extravagant has went wrong with the car, its very reliable.

General Comments:

A very nice first car. I got it in 2001 with a brand new black coat of paint.

It has okay power. It can probably beat most small engine imports, but I don't have my license yet only my permit.

Handling is good for a big car.

A huge interior is standard on the Intrepid.

I wasn't very satisfied with the stereo so I got a new head unit and speakers.

Only thing I don't like is that there is a limited aftermarket supply for parts.

I recently bought and put on a Spectre cold air intake that adds to the power and is a nice cool airy sound.

I'd say it's a nice family car, but since its my first car. Id like a smaller car, but I got what I got.

I just got my first car and it is a 94 intrepid, I thought the same thing not really what I was looking for in a first car, but it will do!
