2000 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer review from North America
"Durable truck inside and out"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Radio back light was working on and off, now is completely off. Does time really matter?
Oil pinion leaked - replaced for minor cost.
Battery died, but it was the factory battery and needed replacement anyways.
Other minor problems due simply to wear and tear, minor costs to fix. i.e. wiper blades, brakes, door seal, gas cap, leather on steering wheel.
General comments?
Ford makes a great truck here, Explorer is a wonderful bargain.
I am very happy with it, quick pick up and acceleration.
Excellent braking, excellent steering.
Interior is comfortable enough to sleep in. (trust me, I've done it more than once!)
4X4 performance is top of the line, never gotten stuck (including 2 feet of mud) and never slide on ice, snow, or in the rain.
Great gas mileage, contrary to what's quoted, been on empty with 20 miles to next gas station and still made it there with no problems.
