2000 Nissan Maxima SE review from North America
"Great car, but watch out."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The #2 coil went out at about 90000, and the service engine soon light comes on all the time. Had the Mass Airflow Sensor replaced, yet the the SES light still comes on quite a bit though nothing seems to be wrong.
General comments?
I love the car for the way it drives, feels, and performs, but from what I have seen from different forums is that the coils and SES light are a very common concern. So far I have been lucky enough to have the warranty cover most problems, but if not, I would been greatly hurting right now.
Once again, the car is a dream to drive but the technical problems I am having with it are getting a bit rediculous. I also know that there seems to be a Class Action Lawsuit attempt towards Nissan for not recalling the 2000 SE despite all the coils that have been going out.
