2000 Nissan Maxima review from North America
"Nissan it needs a recall please!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The issue is the ignition coils. I had the problem surface at 34,000 miles. The plugs foul and the "check engine light" goes on and stays on. The dealer explained that it is a known issue and a very costly repair. I say it should be a recall item. The dealer actually agreed, but his hands are tied. Nissan please keep your good name and step to the plate with a recall.
General comments?
Other than the "should be recalled" ignition coil failures the car is roomy and rides great. It also has great acceleration. I would rate it a 9 but the Nissan reliability and consumer awareness a 5.
