1991 Geo Storm 2+2 review from North America
"This is a fun car to own!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Cracked exhaust manifold.
Broken timing belt at 120,000 miles.
Muffler rusted off at 156,000 miles.
Ignition module failed at 148,000 miles.
General comments?
This is a very reliable car and has only failed to start on me once when the ignition module failed at the mall parking lot. Given enough time, the heat dissipated and I was able to limp home.
The timing belt broke when I was on the freeway at 65 mph and I didn't suffer any broken valves or damaged pistons. All I had to do was get a mobile mechanic to come to my house and replace the belt.
It's small and I can squeeze into parking spaces when others can't.
The looks from other drivers can annoy you, especially when they tailgate and show you no respect.
