2001 Chevrolet Blazer LS review from North America
"So far, it's been very dependable transportation for me"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Gas gauge began to go out at 50000 miles, works most of the time.
Mechanic says ball joints will not take grease at 76000, ball joints squeaking now.
Center caps on wheel rims fell out over last two years.
Passenger door is hung.
General comments?
Purchased the vehicle to deliver mail on a U.S. Postal Rural Route. Did the job well. Now used as a personal vehicle. Interior has held up well, and the engine has given no trouble.
Ball Joints seem to be going out, and the brakes need to be redone again, 2nd time in under 78000, but to be expected with the stop and go of mail delivery.
The serpentine belt always seems to go out every 20000 miles. Have had three now, and soon will need a fourth.
So far, it's been a good vehicle, and I've maintained it with on time oil changes and lube jobs as recommended by the owner's manual, with Jiffy Lube's help.
