2000 Daewoo Nubira CDX review from North America

The only problem thus far with my Nubira CDX Wagon has been the indicator light for the airbag, which comes on and stays on for some inexplicable reason at random intervals. The problem was purportedly fixed during a routine service appointment, but it has since begun to occur again.

During my last visit to the dealership where I bought the car, the light was not on and the service manager said that the mechanic could not find the source of the problem. Though hardly a serious issue, the indicator light is in my line of sight and one of those glitches in a new car that is both annoying and a sign of technical problems.

As with others who have written reviews here, I have found the gas mileage to be less than what was advertised. As my last car was a 1997 Ford Escort sedan, I have definitely noticed the increasing cost of driving my Nubira Wagon.

The cargo capacity is terrific.

The sound system works well.

The plastic bar that houses the cover for the cargo area is a bit awkward to remove if one is opting for maximum capacity by putting the seats down and removing this bar.

Because I am tall, I appreciate the headroom in Nubira -- a feature lacking in just about every other economy wagon.
