1994 Ford Aspire SE from North America - Comments

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Well the rear bearings went out. Thats about it so far.

General comments?

Well the car has 63,256 miles on it and it has been a really good car so far. Ford has been really rude - I took it in for service last time and they acted like I was nothing. I heard one of the guys say "Oh no not one of those". Then the guy that was doing the paperwork called it the "Expire" and laughed like it was a joke. I thought that was extremely rude. But I have and SE model that was dropped after 95", It's a nicer Aspire with a tachometer and a rear spoiler. I should have known Kia made it cause none of Fords cars are as reliable as this one..

My 94 Aspire SE has 94,000 miles.

At 87,000 after a trip from TX to Canada, it was fine until I took it in for a new timing belt at Ward's Auto in Waco. They finally found a ring had broken and pierced the piston.

I replaced the spark plug wires, cap and rotor, filters, and it is great. It gets over 40 mpg.

It is a 5 speed with cruise, alloy wheels, A/C, spoiler, rear wiper/def, and ABS.

I hope it becomes a collector's car. Any ideas about that? BTW the Ford dealers treated me the same way.

Does anyone know how many 1994 Aspire SE's were imported?
