2000 Ford Focus ZX3 review from North America
"Great performance, horrible quality"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
First, the brakes are a constant supply of noise. I have had the brakes looked at and fixed six times! The noise goes away for the first few miles, but then returns. I give up.
Second, this car has a recall every other month. My first twelve months of owning this car resulted in 6 recalls. This is ridiculous.
Third, the quality of the exterior of the car is sub-standard. I leaned against the rear bumper and it literally dislodged the bumper from its proper position. I'm only 150 pounds!!!
Finally, at 10,000 miles my windshield wiper motor died, during a rain storm!!! Not to mention I was 24 miles away from home.
General comments?
I wish I would have never gone from Honda to Ford. This Focus ZX3 is the worst investment I have ever made.
The car performs nicely in regards to power and cornering; however, the quality does not justify the price tag.
This car is a great disappointment. Therefore, I recently bought a 1998 Nissan Maxima. What a difference!!!
I have been trying to sell my Focus, yet no one wants to buy it; not even for $3000 below value.
