Entire exhaust system replaced.
Engine rebuilt.
Transmission rebuilt (1800 because it's a weird, mazda tranny) previous owner said this had already been done twice.
Both front axles replaced.
Both front control arms and ball joints replaced.
Currently won't pass inspections because of brake problems and rear strut problems.
I bought this car a year ago. At that time, the seller said the tranny was recently rebuilt and the engine was new. In the last year, I have spend over 4000 on the car and it still can't pass inspections.
This car handles nicely, but nothing is worth this much money.
If possible, please respond quickly. I am looking into buying a 95 Ford Probe GT sometime next week. I hear that Ford's are bad cars, but am confused because I know that it has a Mazda engine. It is an absolutely adorable car, which is my main reason for wanting it. However, this would be my first car and I don't want all the drama. What do you think?
My advice to you is not to buy a ford probe. last year I had a 94 probe gt and the repairs are very costly. i had a lot of problems with my probe, being your first car, I wouldn't buy a probe. it was the biggest mistake to buy that car.
