Faults:

My Honda Accord EX.V6 has just over 23,000 miles and has been to the Honda dealer (Nanuet, Honda, NY) for over five times. They have changed the brakes twice, but still rattles like an old car. I have problems with the brakes lights on The dashboard, they come on and off by it self. Driver and passenger windows all rattle too. The heater fan makes you feel, that you are in a helicopter. When I went to my Honda dealer, they gave me a list of noises, (which is OK for the car to make), they were over five pages (Hello).

General Comments:

This is the worst thing I have experienced. Now I know, why Honda Accord 2003 has only 36,000 miles warranty.

Summary:

Car for older people

Faults:

Driving out on a motorway I entered medium left curve with 135 km/h. In the curve rear end of the car started to slide. Somehow I managed to make the care strait with few power slides, but unfortunately I hit the concrete on the sides of the road. All 4 wheels were damaged. In the past I have passed that curve with same speed with different cars (Peugeot 205 gti, Honda CRX) and nothing happened. I did not expect this poor handling performance from the new Honda Accord.

General Comments:

Great look, good interior quality. Definitely not for sport driving.

Summary:

Terrible customer service

Faults:

Had a blow out on back rear wheel at 5k miles. Bought extended warranty at point of purchase. Honda gave me the run around about fixing the tire, sent me to the manufacturer, they sent me back to Honda. Finally, a week later, after many calls to the Business manager, my tire is fixed. Terrible customer service.

General Comments:

Honda shouldn't have sold me an extended warranty that they weren't equipped to fulfill in house. On the coupe, Honda puts very expensive tires. My quote to get one tire w/labor was $262!

A tire blowout is not a reflection of your vehicle's reliability. You say that it took a week to fix the tire, but you didn't have to pay for it. You must have a great car if a tire is the only repair it's had.

Aren't the tires covered separately by the tire manufacturer? I mean when you buy the car, the manuals include a separate tire warranty by the manufacturer for so and so miles/years.

At 5,000 miles you should not have issues.

22nd Nov 2007, 11:36

There is so much crap in the road you could hit in 5000 miles it is not funny. You could have hit something and not even have known it.

My Hondas have had Xenon lights which amplify road hazards with intense light even at night. The NSX (top of the line Honda) also had required ridiculous premature tire replacements initially as well. My TL tires were quite expensive and required vigilance when driving. I would have all tires thoroughly inspected and have replaced if its not from an obvious road hazard. Sorry even if you feel Honda is immune from issues I have often found otherwise.

Okay go out and buy a Ford Focus if you are so Pissed about your TL and its tires.! I am sure you'll be pleased with its best in class quality and reputation. Maybe you should check out the Cobalt. I hear it is a "premium" compact.

Faults:

None.

General Comments:

I just got my accord sedan, I couldn't be happier, it's got an amazing sound system, but the seats are noticeably built to last, which all in all means that they are slightly uncomfortably, but when I get used to it, I'm sure I won't care.

The engine has noticeable power and is a very smooth ride, I hope nothing goes wrong in the future, I really like my new Honda.
