1997 Honda Accord LX from North America - Comments

Radiator had to be replaced (but car has 139,000 miles!)

Muffler had to be replaced around 90,000 miles) (My 1990 Accord also needed new muffler around 90,000)

SBS light went on in 2001-was told by dealer it was a computer chip and would cost $600 to fix!!! Just recently, I was looking to buy a used 1998 Honda Civic from a private party and he has the same problem with the SBS light! Has anyone else had this problem? Should this be a recall item?

Not the most comfortable ride in the world and parts can be expensive, but all in all, it's a very reliable vehicle and fun to drive!

I just bought a Honda Accord LX 1997 model. I bought it used from the first owner, and the car looks and runs fantastic.

A question.. Does anyone have experience with the windows and the door locks not working properly, I first thought I only had to change the fuses, but the electric system still does not work.

Anyone?
