It needed a new CV joint, and power steering pump, but that is pretty good for 185000 miles, so I'm not complaining. Plus, it was pretty cheap to fix.
I love this car! This is my first, and I've only had it a week, but I grew up with an older model, and this one has the cleanest vehicle history report I've ever seen.
I won it on eBay.
It had sat in the snow for god knows how long, and it started right up... first try... with vigor.
It drove straight up a huge snowy hill with no running start, right after starting, and then drove straight home to Georgia from it's parking lot in New York, with no problems, and without adding anything, but gas.
I have never been so impressed.
First day home: we took it off-road... not even a days break from its journey, and could not get it stuck!!! Trust me... we tried.
This rice burner can make it up a hill. We drove it up a mountain, and didn't have to change gears once... we stayed in 3rd the whole time!
Honda definitely knew what they were doing with this little gem. The car is comfortable, simple, versatile, and reliable.
I do not recommend this car for anyone looking for luxury (no AC, no power anything), but it is the perfect car for just about anything else.
It has way more cargo than one would think could fit in such a small body, gets 30+ mpg, and can fit two adults relatively comfortably in the back seat.
I am completely sold on this model. Thank you Honda, this is the bionic car!
I got a 1991 4wd wagon Civic and put a CRV 5 speed tranny in it, along with a built LS vtec, and now I've got a 627 hp AWD Civic. I'm the only man in the history of man to drift in a 91 Civic.
