2004 Nissan Maxima SE review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I own a 2004 Nissan Maxima SE, 70,000 miles.
Had trouble with hard down shifting while braking 5 months after I brought it. Had taken it into the dealer several times while under warranty, and no one could seem to catch the problem without having the check engine light on to give them a code. I paid out of my pocket several DIAG. testings for them to tell me that nothing was going wrong with my transmission. 2 months later after the warranty expired, took it to another mechanic, and he stated that my trans was completely gone. Nissan needs to really check into some of the complaints that 2004 Nissan owners are having.
General comments?
I also have a 1996 Nissan Maxima. I have never experienced any problems with it whatsoever. So I think by now, and with other comments like mine, they should have by now considered having a recall on the 2004.
