"Good only when new, otherwise piece of crap"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Head gasket leaked at 75000 km.

Lots of road noise intrusion into cabin.

Tires wore out at 50000 km.

Easy paint chips in most contact.

Cabin pieces easy to break off.

Cabin transmission cover flimsy, poked.

Water leaks into cabin at windshield.

Short battery life.

Stereo sounds distorted and fades.

Power flicker when lights/radio on.

Car loses torque power when driving.

Growling sounds when driving wet weather.

General comments?

My 1995 Neon Highline is only good when it was new. It was very peppy, fast, and powerful for a small car. This is a disposable car, an expensive disposable car when all is taken into consideration. I should have heeded the advice from consumer rating books and never bought my Neon. I should have paid more money and bought Japanese or German cars with higher average quality and longevity. Even other American car products from Ford, GM were rated slightly higher than Chrysler. Chrysler does have better outside styling, but what good is style when the insides are bad. Do you ever wonder why Chrysler is nearing bankruptcy again and had to be bought out by German car company, Daimler?
