1995 Pontiac Grand Prix SE 3.1 V6 from North America

Summary:

A fun car well worth buying!!!

Faults:

I bought the car a few months ago, and I love it. When I bought the car the following items were problems or concerns.

The paint on the door panel that runs parallel with the window was chipping badly.

The paint on the trim above the tires was fading slightly.

The entire exhaust system was rusted severely. Both mufflers had holes and left exhaust pipe needed to be replaced.

The rear struts were bad and needed to be replaced.

The center console box lid snapped off.

The trip counter occasionally stops working.

General Comments:

The interior of the car has held up very well.

The car handles exceptionally well.

The brakes are a bit sluggish and are not anti-lock.

The body style of the 1995 Grand Prix is out of this world.

I have only had this car a short time and I am in love with it. If you have a chance to get one... go for it!

1995 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Coupe 3.1 L SFI V6 from North America

Summary:

A beautiful, very solid, aggressive, reliable car at a very nice price tag, leave the family at home

Faults:

When I bought the car at 78,000 miles it needed:

A new exhaust system ($227.44).

A new power antenna ($84.00).

A new center console lid ($70.00).

Sanding and repainting of the aluminum outer ring of the wheels ($40.00).

The exhaust system was all rusted out and there were holes in the mufflers. The left dual exhaust tip was hanging off.

The antenna was broken in the upward position.

The center console lid latch was broken off completely.

The outer clear-coated ring of the aluminum wheels was bubbled and pitting. I had to sand them down and repaint them. The wheels now look better than what they looked like when they came out of the factory.

General Comments:

Pros:

I have the 1995 Special Edition package with all the goodies.

It's in absolute outstanding condition, people think it's been garaged since '95. The paint looks brand new. It stands out in traffic.

It's bright shiny red and very sporty looking, I get many compliments from friends and people I don't know.

Even with 81,800 miles, it still runs like it just drove off the lot.

Meaner, more aggressive looking than the new '97-'02 Pontiac Grand Prix's.

The only reason people have problems with this car is because they don't know how to take care of it.

Beautiful interior, with a very nice dash and bucket seats.

Very healthy, deep sounding exhaust rumble.

The 3.1 L SFI V6 engine is easy on gas.

Cons:

Ticket machine.

Door mounted seat belts.

Powerful, but not as powerful as the GTP.

Severely limited selection of after market performance parts.

If anyone knows where I can get custom fit high flow exhausts, intakes or any thing having to do with the performance area of the '95 Grand Prix SE please e-mail me at wiseshogun2x@hotmail.com

I'm no one important, just making a good comment about the 95 Pontiac Grand Prix 2D Coupe. My first car that I bought is the Grand Prix 2d coupe in Jan 2003 and I run superbly and I believe it looks sharper than the new Grand Prix. The interior look and the feel of driving it reminds me of when my dad had an 1982 Trans Am.

1995 Pontiac Grand Prix SE 3.1 V-6 from North America

Summary:

A reasonable bargain for its age

Faults:

Tires at 134,000 miles.

Seat-belts need replacing at 134,000 miles.

Needed a new cam sensor at 134,300 miles.

General Comments:

This car is very fast and it has very good cornering considering it's a passenger car.

I don't like the color, it gets dirty very easily.

I like the space and the trunk space though.
