2003 Saturn ION Quad Coupe 2 review from North America
"Great car for very little money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had a drivers' door lock retaining clip (on the rod) break, and I couldn't use the key on the driver's side. (Warranty fix, 18,000 miles)
Back up light switch went at around 34,000 miles. Easy fix for anyone.
Sometimes 2nd. gear is hard to engage.
I had some bird droppings left on the hood for no more than 3 days, after I washed it off it left a ring in the clear coat. I don't think this is acceptable at all. On my 1986 Cutlass the orig paint job was 17 years old, and I've never had a problem like that.
General comments?
I love this car, I would never regret this purchase.
The $16,000 price tag is well worth it. Power is very good in all gears. Handling and stopping is also up to par.
I love the way the interior is set up, front pax. seat folds all the way down and so do both back seats.
Gas mileage is superb, at around 24 MPG city and about 34 MPG Hwy.
I wish they used the Red line's Recaros seats here because these ones don't support you good at all when you cornering hard.
After market parts are becoming available more and more.
