2003 Saturn VUE review from North America
"Overall, I am satisfied with this car, and will probably buy a new one when the time comes"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have discovered no negatives thus far.
General comments?
We got this car to get our 12mpg pick up off the road.
It gets 23, 24 mpg, which is consistent with two other VUE owners I know.
Comfort on a road trip is better than our previously owned '01 Bonneville - seats are easier on the back.
It has a whine or whir that I was not accustomed to hearing, but was told by one of my VUE owner friends that that is normal. It is not an obnoxious or bothersome noise.
Air conditioning works exceptionally well for a four cylinder, compared to my experience with others.
My mechanic friend said while inspecting the underside of the car on a lift, that the drive shafts on the VUE are "meatier" than most other AWDs he's seen, and will probably perform well in the snow.
It doesn't have a lot of pick up from a dead stop, but then, it's not a V8 either.
