Let's see ... Picked up my Jaguar 3.0 X-type February, 2002 ... I've since had problems with the truck closing (not my problem - manufacturer's defect), gas tank lid stuck despite hitting the release button several times, brakes needed complete replacement after a year and a 1/2 (16,000 miles) and now I am told my transmission needs repairing, possibly replacing

I own a couple of other cars, so I don't use my 2002 Jaguar X-type 3.0 auto with 55,000 miles all the time ... But I also found this forum for a cheap & easy transmission fluid change ... It's bad enough you guys are not recalling this transmission

I bought my 2002 X-type 3.0 in August of 2002 and it has been in the shop over 15 times ... Just recently the rim bent and they said it is going to crack, and tonight the transmission blew on the expressway ... I guess Jaguar proved me wrong ... It's a shame because Jaguar was truly my dream car

I purchased my 2002 X-type two years ago ... It's been to the Jaguar repair place, lets see, tomorrow will be 4 times ... Six months after purchase, the transmission was replaced and the trunk wouldn't close

Boy do I wish we would have had the fore-thought to read here before we bought our 2000 S-Type, but we fell in love with a dream and exactly like the masses here in this community of Jag owners, we have had our "unfair" share of Jag troubles and woes ... It is now May of 2007 and that new transmission is sitting out in my driveway, in that beautiful Platinum Jazz 2000 S-Type, and it won't budge an inch because of it's 2nd dead transmission (which is three years old and has only 14,000 miles on it) ... We need to band together and stop this consumer fraud by Jaguar/Ford
