What things have gone wrong with the car?
Dome light came on by itself.
Pings on East Texas hills highways.
Seat belt constantly closed in drivers door as it doesn't retract properly.
Most recent problem is windshield wipers coming on by themselves.

Hello Steven.
I just read your car survey for the 1999 Ford Ranger. I have a 1999 Ford Ranger I bought new.
You state: Windshield wipers turn on for no reason.
Mine started doing this a few months ago. Gradually increasing in the number and length of times they came on.
Is this something that was recalled by Ford and I missed it? How much did it cost you to have the problem fixed?
Thanks for the tip about the high octane. My truck sounds pitiful taking on the hills in East Texas. Hopefully, better gas will resolve that situation.
Thanks for a well written survey and any future help you may be able to give me. rhonda.
His reply:
Hi Rhonda.
Thanks for the mail and your kind comments.
I'm not the owner of the Ford Ranger, I'm the owner of the website.
As the reviews are added anonymously, your best hope is to add a comment to the review and hope the reviewer returns to read it.
Best Wishes,
Steven.
