29000 miles " Theft " light came on and stranded me twice. Was a bad ignition switch. covered under warranty. No reverse lights now.. bad "reverse switch " on transmission (I will fix soon)
This car has surprised many people. I can smoke many V6 cars because the Z24 is fairly light and has a great torque curve (powerful engine). Get the 2.4 liter 150 hp if you want great performance period) Its nice do drive a pretty quick car that you don't have to rev up to 6000 rpm just to get power-as you do with Jap cars front seats get Real old quick.. not firm enough. Handles well enough, but not a real sports car.
I drive 72 miles per day and get between 28-36 MPG! 34 avg..that's great!
Dash rattles.. turn up the stereo!

Poor review. Z24 is clearly a sports car.
Hahahahaha. first of all let me laugh when you say you get 28mpg city 36mpg highway on ur z24. that is purely BS. the z-24 is a 2.4L twin-cam LD9 motor. and the twin cam commands a little more fuel then a single cam. unless you have the eco-friendly cavalier that comes in that horrid green color (and that's just a 2.2L) then ur fuel economy will be better. but even that one doesn't get the outrageous mpg outputs you made. for z24 owners who want to be realistic, the z24 cavalier at best will put out about 18-20mpg city and and 25-27mpg highway. why do you think the newer chevy models have 8 cars over 30mpg highway? the cobalt has better fuel economy then the cavalier. so if the cavy you have is 36mpg highway then the cobalt should be 40+. its ridiculous and untrue. I drove a z24 for 4 years and on a 14 gallon tank topped off and driven down to the point where the check gages light came on I was able to get about 240 miles on one tank driving in the city. 240 divided by 14 comes out to about 17 per. so don't make such exaggerated statements. the 2.2L doesn't even get 28/36. thanx for the laugh. car savvy you r not. LOL.
