2000 Daewoo Lanos SE review from North America
"An average buy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Driver side locks don't work in cold weather.
Countless recalls, including airbag clamps.
Injectors went @ 100K, the dealer was kind enough to back date my warranty.
General comments?
For the price I paid for the car new, I can't complain. The only problem is the high cost of repair.
Front brakes (pads, rotors) were $400 Cdn. installed.
Timing belts were $400 Cdn.
The car is does perform well, except if you have a heavy load.
In conclusion the car was done well, I took a chance when I bought and so far it really hasn't been that bad. I have put over and 100,000km on my Lanos and it's still running good.
