1998 Ford Taurus SE review from North America
"Most inexpensive vehicle I have owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front rotors at 55,000 and again at
135,000 miles.
Battery at 140,000 miles.
Heater core at 139,000 miles.
Plugs and wires at drive belt replaced before a trip at 144,000 miles.
Dome lights will often stay on when the door is closed. Spraying with WD-40 corrects it.
General comments?
Awesome power even at 150k plus miles. Always starts and runs flawlessly. Gas mileage always averages 28 MPG. Everything is still in excellent shape including the original exhaust system.
The only money I spend on this vehicle is on oil changes and tires.
