2004 Jeep Liberty Limited review from North America
"Severe disappointment!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Vehicle is reported to be trail rated and that it has a clearance of 8.9". The actual clearance is about 6.4" and the vehicle is not able to navigate over even minor off-road trails. We are very disappointed with not only the vehicle (far cry from our previous Jeep Cherokee) but also the service from Jeep.
General comments?
We have been attempting to resolve this issue with Jeep; however, we have been advised that we can speak with no other party, but their "customer service reps" and I use that term loosley. They are rude and ill-prepared to address technical issues.
This issue borders on fraudulent advertising and unfair business practices. The vehicle should be "fit for the particular purpose" for which it is purchased and the general public should be able to rely on the specifications that Jeep presents on its vehicles!
