A lot of cheap plastic parts have broken on the interior.
Problems with front brakes and the engine light starts blinking sometimes.
Rough vibration from the steering wheel.
I should have kept the Aspire... The Daewoo has no quality at all.
My lanos blew a head gasket at 25000 miles and after the dealer put it back together, the engine light would blink. They found out the timing of the cam on the head was off.
At 37,000 miles, my wonderful Daewoo, is a piece of crap. Rattling of my muffler and my steering wheel, the car won't start, for no particular reason, and had to get new brakes, which I ordered those two months ago and still don't have them from the dealer.
The engine light keeps on going on and off, I need a new thermostat, and I have only had the car for a year. And the warranty ended just 1,000 miles ago.
Anybody I know, I tell them not to buy a Daewoo, it's a lemon!!!
My 1999 lanos has been in the shop a LOT! Luckily the 1st time the head gasket went bad it was in warranty. The engine light has been on since the first week I bought the car new. For this reason alone it spent over 1 month in the shop on 2 different occaisions. I currently have 52,300 on my broken-down Daewoo and have my 2nd blown head gasket in 1 year. The body and interior look brand new still, I have kept up on the maintenence (oil changes, brakes, radiator flushes, tune-ups ect..) and now I have an auto that I owe $5700.00 on and have to pay full coverage insurance (since I still owe on it I can't cancel my insurance) of $150.00 a month on while it sits in my driveway broke down. I can't switch insurance companies, since every single one I contacted said they won't insure a Daewoo. Same goes for refinancing it with any other bank, they simply won't do it on a Daewoo. I just wish that some kind of recall on all Daewoos would happen, and Daewoo had to take all of their cars back and reimburse us. (yeah right.. but I have dreams)
