2000 Nissan Maxima GXE review from North America
"This car seems to have high maintenance costs"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I too have had to replace all 6 coils at a cost of $1200 at the dealership. They were not able to determine which one was bad and pressed me to have all of them replaced. The car is paid off and I only have 70,000.00 miles on it, and I did not expect to have to pay for such a costly repair at this interval. I have read over a hundred complaints about this coil problem, and am very disappointed that this is occurring at such frequency. I take very good car of my car and have it serviced often for routine maintenance, but after reading about the hundreds of others who have experienced the same problem, I will not be purchasing another Nissan again. I urge others to complain to Nissan, and sign the petition on line.
General comments?
The car is enjoyable to drive, but expensive to maintain. I think I have even replaced an O-2 sensor more than once.
