Still unable to get the English Manual for the screen in Mark 2 Gx 110. One of my colleagues who managed to stay in Japan for several years promised to translate everything and put it in writing, once it's done I will share with you.

Stay blessed,

Henry from Tanzania.

I live in Kenya, and I have a Mark 11 Grande 2002 model. May someone advise me on the best plugs to use on this machine, and where I can get them? I am experiencing power losses/misfire after a regular servicing that changed my plugs. Email me at jemwendwa@yahoo.co.uk

Hi, my fellow Mark II-ists.

All of you guys who require spark plugs in Kenya, there is a shop called Greenlight Auto on Dar es Salaam Road industrial area, opposite the post office in Nairobi who stock genuine parts. They have good prices.

Does anyone have that English translated owner's manual for the Grande? If you do, please send me a copy on this e mail: mashirapeter@yahoo.com

Thanks.

I would like your comments on its performance.

Hello,

My name is Mtenjela from Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

I have a Mark 2 GX 100, VVTi 1g of 2000. In short i enjoy the life! This car is comfortable, powerful, speedy with high acceleration, and the fuel consumption is 9-10km/litre. It is two years I have owned it, and I bought it with a mileage of 70000kms, and now is nearly to 100000kms.

The main problem with this car is you can die before your time if you are not careful!

My email is mtenjela7@yahoo.com

Hi all,

Can someone give me the right radiator pressure cap for Mark II GX 90? It's currently fitted with a 0.9 cap, which I keep on changing in a regular basis.

Thank you.

Hello Mark II drivers.

Is there anyone who can assist me to get a Mark II TV with multi-system, which you can view in other countries which use the PAL TV system. (Currently the TV uses NTSC system only, which is used in Japan). Would also appreciate getting modification parts to convert it to the PAL system.

Arthur From Kenya.

My mark II (2491 cc) achieved 10km/litre average doing an average speed of 130 from Mombasa to Nairobi. With efficient driving I believe 12 km per litre is achievable.

I have a 2003 Mark II Grande with the same features. However, I was told that the DVD Player in the glove compartment is for navigational purposes only. What I would like to get is an English manual. I would really appreciate if someone could email me at basmar_15@yahoo.com with info on how to get the pdf file.

Hi guys,

I have recently purchased a 2002, Mark II Sedan Regalia (GX-110) 1988cc.

How many km/l should I expect with smooth driving in the city and on highways? I just got the car last week, so I haven't really driven it much. The price of gas has me worried about its fuel efficiency.

Thank you,

Mike.

Well, to answer my own question, I'm getting about 10km/liter!!

Thanks

Mike.

I'm jealous. I recently bought a 2001 GX110 mark2, 2 litre. The drive is wonderful. Only one problem, fuel consumption is about 5Lt/km. I did a service and changed the oil to fully synthetic, new air cleaner and new plugs (Denso K20R-U11), and still no change. Am I missing something? Help!!

29th Jun 2011, 23:35

How are you driving? Are you using the A/C in the car? That really sucks up your gas big time. Also, try driving smoothly, take it easy on the gas pedal. Good luck and let us know if you notice an improvement!

Mike.

Hi Mwenda... use the spark plug No. 9091901184 Denso plugs. You can buy it from Visco Enterprises Ltd Nairobi, industrial area. The other solution is take the engine number, chassis number and take it to the above named company, they will search in the computer and give you the right plugs. Cheers.

Hi pals, Seems like we share the language/translation problem for the mark 2 navigation screen. If you have a copy of the translated manual, please do email me on tnyagare@yah00.com. Besides, what can we do with the DVD rom in the glove compartment now that we don't have navigation DVDs in Kenya. Can it be converted to play ordinary DVDs? Where can that be done?

3rd Sep 2011, 11:56

Hi,

Just buy a Sony DVD car radio player, and change it with the original one hidden at the glove compartment, and your case is sorted completely. Also change the speakers with either Sony or Kenwood for an excellent sound system. You can watch movies too clearly or any type of videos.

Carlos.

Hi,

Take it for diagnosis, and I know the problem is a sensor located at the front wheels, which must be changed, so the ABS light will not to show on the dash board screen.

Best regards bro.

Carlos.

Hi,

You can get parts at green auto spares in Dar Salam road in the industrial area in Nairobi, Kenya. We are talking of genuine spares from Japan and not fake. Even Toyota Kenya buys parts from them.

Hi guys, I have the same car exactly. It is a very powerful engine and very comfortable like Mercedes Benz, but I am having a problem with the spark plugs. Can anybody tell me which plug is recommended, two pin plug or one pin plug?
